Under the truck... part 1

Under the truck, we plan to accommodate 110 gallons/ 416 liter of fresh water and 55 gallons/ 208 liter of wastewater, 2 toolboxes and some spare space for the future, like extra

After that was done, I could focus on the watertanks.

These barrels I can get for free, and this is one of them, and the idea of how to position it on the truck.

I will put a tank for fresh water on each side of the truck to balance the weight.

The third tank I will use for wastewater with an electric dump valve with the switch on the dash, allowing it to be used during rain or when driving in areas where dumping is not an issue.

The bands to mount the tanks with are too long, I will have to cut them and make them fit.

The straps are stainless steel, and I needed to buy special welding wire to be able to weld that. I cut the straps, create a "V"-shape, and make holes at the end to increase the welding surface, which should enhance the strength.

By securing both ends with clamps, I weld them together and then grind it down to make it nicer.

The brackets for the straps are attached to the frame, the rust is addressed, and the first strap is secured around the tank in its proper position. In the meantime, the tanks get washed and dried.

We keep going until all tanks are mounted.
